Catch the atmosphere in my shaking palms and shove it deep within a coat pocket
with a gold bracelet and a few folded dollar bills that meant everything.
Rattle a breathe of bitter air. Are we ever going to start making sense?
I don't think I'll ever forget those nights we watched the sun hide its face
beneath the most beautiful sunsets ever seen.
You held me because we loved loving each other - loved feeling the frostbite set into
un-gloved hands. What the hell were we thinking?

everything i aspired to be
