vii. Change starts with a girl.

.
.
.

i. Blue-green eyes that reflected like sea glass flicked to the sky, a deep sense of determination lingered around her slender person.

vi. She knew there were things in the universe that no one else saw. Not the supernatural, but things the empty people around her were just too obstinate to think about - like they were satisfied thoroughly with the way things had become. A false sense of security. Ignorance is bliss, after all.

iii. A drop of rain fell on her shoulder. A dark grey flower bloomed where it hit like a tiny bomb, and she smiled.

v. This girl liked to think about the people no one ever noticed, their lives and relationships. She profiled them in her mind. She liked to think about their worlds colliding, about their fingertips touching in a burst of colours. Everyone left a stain on lives. This was something she had convinced herself of.

iv. Although she felt that 96% of the earths population were somewhere approaching brain-dead she didn't feel that she was better than any of them. Self loathing would not be exactly the right word for it, however she never felt like she lived up to her own expectations. She disliked stupidity, but at times swore she felt it creep up into her coffee, or over her wrist as she wrote.

ii. Her hair made her visibly different from the other girls around her, for it was by far the shortest of any girl at her school; not to mention that it was a shock of white. A delicate little finger ran through the bangs and rested there for a moment. It wasn't punky, not really meant to make the statement that all the other girls with crazy hair tried to make at her age: Watch out. I'm cool and edgy and different and no one can stop me from doing me. A rustle of amusement ran up her shoulders as she thought of this. She just got bored, liked the way it looked in her head, and lobbed it off. The moment rushed by like a train derailed - as 13 inches of long, golden locks hit the dirty floor the world tipped on an invisible, rusty pivot. The short hair suited her more anyways, but she missed her long hair in a few moments of vulnerability.

vi. More rain had splashed down from the grey heavens, exploding on the wood railing. These wonderful spring days were a favorite of hers. Almost as if she could feel the minds of others open around her. Perhaps she would write that down later.

On November 2010, our marching band team got 14th place out of 38 marching bands in the area level, but we didn't make it to the state level. That was when I was still in the band.

Unfortunately, I left the band, because it was too hard.
